One can never predict what can change their life. It can be a deep conversation with someone you look up to, a quote in a book that you read, a post you saw on Instagram, or a blog by a stranger sharing her life experiences. Your life can literally change or gain some perspective just by reading through someone else’s life experiences as when you see someone sharing their thoughts on things that you struggle with, you really experience a perspective shift.

Here Are Some Ways How Someone Else’s Life Experiences Can Be Helpful To You

Read Between The Lines

Whenever someone talks about how they have overcome something, don’t follow through the exact path as theirs but instead understand the journey and make it your own by applying the same method in your own way. Look at their mindset, understand their mistakes and then think about what you can take from it.

Relate To Their Emotions Too

Not all decisions are practical and you can understand a lot about one person once you understand their emotional intelligence during a tough time in their life. No one has it together all the time so while you are trying to learn from their life experience be as humble and non-judgmental as possible.

Things To Keep In Mind While Sharing Your Own Experiences In A Blog

Being Genuine Goes A Long Way

If you’re not comfortable with what you’re sharing, don’t do it for the sake of it. Put the topic aside for a while and sit with them when you feel like it. If after a few days, you’re still nervous or second-guessing what your blog might sound like, maybe it’s best left in drafts, or scribbled onto your personal diary. Just because something happened doesn’t mean that you have to share it. Some memories are best kept to yourself.

Be Careful About Your Writing Style

This blog is not a personal diary where you rant about what’s going on. Understand how precise you want to be when you start writing. You have to be one of those, who create an impact with their words right? Before you even begin with anything at all, you need to know who you are addressing it to. It should be one person and they should be able to call you a friend.

If you still aren’t ready to share your whole heart on the page, try sharing a smaller version of your week. Work your way up to the bigger & better stories.
